The Day-to-Day Responsibilities-

• Work with transportation industry specialists, and AI modelers, to design and build world-class decision support and automated planning solutions
• Build complex automated solutions for NP-hard combinatorial optimization problems
• Deliver production-ready solutions according to the requirements and identified constraints
• Mentor junior optimization team members and share knowledge
• Develop ways to organize and process data in an efficient manner in the context of the problems being solved
• Work together with software engineers, data scientists and DevOps to help to deliver comprehensive AI Solutions

Your Background

• Education Bachelor’s degree in Operations Research, Computer Science, Statistics or other Mathematics or Engineering
• Advanced degree preferred

Experience:

• 3+ years’ experience in Combinatorial Optimization or related field
• 3+ years’ experience in operations research
• 3+ years’ experience writing software for scientific computing or numeric processing in Java, Scala or Kotlin
• Experience with Metaheuristic techniques for large search space optimization using approaches like Tabu, Simulated Annealing, Genetic Algorithms, etc.
• Familiarity with graph-based algorithms like Branch and Bound and A* as well as with Linear Programming, Integer Programming, Dynamic Programming Familiarity with Python or R is a plus
• Preferred: Research experience
